Katy and Udi called the meeting to order at 7:04pm.

Officer Reports: Udi motioned for the June minutes to be approved, Charles seconded, motion passed with a majority, no objections. Vice Chair / Quartermaster, Bill Steele, was MIA, so no report. Treasurer Edwin Lehr was also not in attendance, but according to last meetings report, we have $908.15 in the bank. Librarian, Steve Webb, was not present, but had dropped off the library with Glen Goldsmith who was filling in, 2 books are still checked out, 1 was returned by Mark Gee. Charles Goldsmith donated a dvd of "Huautla, The Mexican Cave" by Jay Arnold to the library. Charles Goldsmith filled in for Secretary, Cristina Estrada. Charles, blog editor, asked for more submissions for the webpage and blog.Old Business: Constitution review is still on the table, Charles is waiting on input from his committee. Bill Steele is still working on purchasing survey gear for the grotto.
New Business: Udi asked about archiving the blog as a newsletter to submit to the NSS per their request, Charles reports that he plans to do so at the end of the year.
Announcements: Mark Alman reports that there will be a TSA project at Longhorn Caverns this fall, dates TBD. He also told about a beginner trip to Whirlpool cave in Austin on August 14th. Mark Gee reminded everyone about a Colorado Bend work weekend on August 13th - 15th, its mainly a map work weekend due to the heat, and cavers will be able to stay in the conference center, since its really too hot to camp.
Trip Reports: Charles and Glen talked about their recent trip to Cascade Caverns, continuing to work on the lights project there. Charles announced another trip for the weekend of July 31st.
Program: Diana Tomchick was out sick, so the dvd, "Huautla, The Mexican Cave" by Jay Arnold, was shown. Excellent footage of the cave. The film is narrated by our very own Bill Steele, who also wrote a book about the cave, "Huautla, Thirty Years in one of the World's Deepest Caves". A second short film was shown by Jay, the 2010 NSS convention promotional video.
